Beach and Aquarium in Florida

These posts are backwards, sorry. Well, while we were in Florida we HAD to hit the beach. Unfortunately our beach visit was short lived. We had Eli with us and he does not do so well outside in the sun for very long so Taylor, Eli and I went shopping while the rest of the family hung on the beach.

Eli was so amazed by the fish. He could have watched them for hours.

You can't visit Florida without taking a picture of an alligator!

Trip to Florida

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Houston H. Haught

This last week we got to go to Florida for Houston and Rachael's wedding. It was really neat to be in the temple with him and be a part of such a sacred event. The spirit was so strong that day and I am grateful that Taylor and I could be there. It is so weird to think that when Taylor and I got married Houston was only 15 years old. And now he is married!! CRAZY! Rachael is a perfect fit for Houston. She is such a great girl and I am so excited to have her a part of the family.

Sunday Night Reflection

I just want to say Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there and especially to my daddy. I am sitting in a silent house, I know it is hard to believe, thinking about my parents, particularly my dad and I can't help but feel so thankful for all the many blessings my family and I have been given. I have 4 beautiful and healthy children, a husband that continues to love me despite all my short comings, and the gospel in which I can continually recieve answers to all my many questions about life. I know that I would not be in this position today if it weren't for my amazing parents.
My mom and dad are such good examples to me of strong, committed, and supportive people. As most parents do they have gone through many struggles and trials with their children. I am so grateful that they raised me in the church and that I can look at them even today and be reminded of what it means to be a loving parent. I could not ask for a better Grandpa for my kids either. I love you dad and I am so lucky to have you in my life!!

Ok, now for Taylor's turn. I am so happy to have him and I am even more happy that he has blessed me with 4 perfect children. Life is not always easy but Taylor has an amazing way of making me relax and just laugh our way through the hard times. I love him so much and our kids are so lucky to have him as their dad!

Jemez Mountains

We headed up North to the Jemez Mountains on Saturday with some friends (the Buys and the Carlsons) for a picnic. The weather was absolutely beautiful up there. Warm in the sun and pleasantly cool in the shade. The kids spent the day playing in the river, searching for bugs and spiders, and eating junk food. Garry, one of the friend's we were with, found a fish up on the rocks and Natalie rushed over and picked it up. Then, later that day, she found a snake and to my surprise grabbed it! YUCK! She definitely did not get that from me! The guys did some fishing while us girls took care of the kids. We enjoyed chatting it up around the campfire. It was such a fun day and we are so grateful to have friends that invite us on such great adventures.

Taylor and Eli

So yesterday I was coming downstairs from putting laundry away (story of my life) and I could hear Taylor playing the guitar and singing to someone in the living room. Then I could hear other little fingers strumming a guitar as well. I turned the corner and this is what I saw.

How cute is this! Taylor and Eli were jammin together! Eli was so happy and Taylor was loving every minute of it! I just absolutely love my boys!!

Cooper's Baseball Game

Cooper's baseball season is coming to and end. He only has one more game and then he is done until Fall Ball starts in August. He has learned so much this year and has really improved his game!

I love to watch Cooper play and I am so proud of his commitment to playing. I have to say I am a little relieved that we are almost done now though. It has been difficult for me this season because Taylor has been traveling a lot lately and so it lands on me to take Cooper to baseball. Eli is at a hard age to take outside and keep him happy for 2 hours. He just wants to crawl around on the dirt and eat everything he can get his hands on. Next season will be a lot easier because hopefully Eli will be walking.

Memorial Day

I am finally getting around to posting about our awesome Memorial Day weekend. Thursday morning Taylor came up with the idea that we should go to AZ to visit family. It is NEVER his idea to go so I jumped all over the opportunity. We had a great time seeing everyone and just hanging out.
Me, Eli, Tylie, and Grandma Cathy (Taylor's mom)

On Saturday night while we were in town we went bowling with my family at a place called Brunzwick. Holy cow, this place was amazing!! The kids (and Taylor) were in arcade heaven!
