October 26th

One year ago today my sweet Mother-in-Law lost her battle with cancer. She was the worlds greatest Grandma to my kids and such an example of faith. She fought long and we're so proud of her. We miss Cathy so much but I get to feel her often. I am glad for the plan of salvation and the knowledge the comfort the gospel brings me that one day we can live with her again.
My thoughts are with her children today, especially her daughters. I can't imagine going through life without the help of my mother. Love you Tash and Jenn. Hang in there!

P.S. In honor of Cathy, I am going to consume a whole entire bag of Hershey candy bars.

I wanted to share this because it is one of my most cherished memories with Cathy. This pic is from Cooper's birth. I will never forget that day. It was a very special/scary time for Taylor and I. Cathy and Butch sat at the hospital all night with us anxiously waiting for their first grandchild. I remember the moment Cooper was born. Taylor, myself, Cathy and Butch were all bawling our eyes out. The spirit was so strong and we all knew at that moment that Cooper was sent specifically to our family for a reason. It was a very neat experience and I'm so grateful I was able to share that with them.

We have the privilege of passing Cathy's grave everytime we drive in to AZ. We always stop and spend a few minutes there. The kids enjoy it and I think it helps them feel like their Grandma isn't that far away.

Eli Turns 3!!

Eli turned 3 years old on October 18th. We are such horrible parents because we still haven't celebrated it with him. Taylor has had a few hunting trips the last couple weeks so we'll wait until he can be home with us. It's a good thing Eli is too young to know what day is actually his birthday.
A couple things about Eli right now:
-Loves watching Team Umi Zoomi
-Would eat cereal for every meal if I'd let him
-Never denies me hugs and kisses
-Is a MAJOR mama's boy
-Loves going to bed....maybe its because he doesn't take naps
-Loves to do his "homework" as he calls it. (color pictures)
-Won't wear anything but pajamas
This kid cracks me up. He has me laughing all the time. I'm so glad we have all day together alone while the kids are at school.

I Don't Think She Could Get Any Cuter

My friend Heidi took some amazing pictures of Natalie at the Albuquerque temple in her baptism dress. I'm very happy with how they turned out!!

Natalie turns 8 and gets baptized!!!

Natalie turned 8 on October 5th. All she wanted for her birthday was to get her hair cut and go to Applebees for dinner. Easy enough, right?! So we did just that. Immediately after school I took her to the salon and she got her hair cut. I love Natalie with short hair! It is super cute and super easy! Then we headed to Applebees for dinner. The kids were in heaven. Taylor and I, not so much. It's always chaotic trying to take 4 kids to a restaurant. We had a great time though laughing and joking with our little ones. We went back home, ate cake, and opened presents. Natalie had a great day. I just still can't believe my chubby baby Natalie is now 8 years old!

The weekend of October 9th Natalie got baptized. We had tons of family come in town to support her. We had a very full house but we're so grateful everyone came to visit! We had a great weekend.

I'm so proud of my little girl for deciding to be baptized and become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I see her testimony growing every day and I love to see her making good decisions.
