Jemez Mountains
We headed up North to the Jemez Mountains on Saturday with some friends (the Buys and the Carlsons) for a picnic. The weather was absolutely beautiful up there. Warm in the sun and pleasantly cool in the shade. The kids spent the day playing in the river, searching for bugs and spiders, and eating junk food. Garry, one of the friend's we were with, found a fish up on the rocks and Natalie rushed over and picked it up. Then, later that day, she found a snake and to my surprise grabbed it! YUCK! She definitely did not get that from me! The guys did some fishing while us girls took care of the kids. We enjoyed chatting it up around the campfire. It was such a fun day and we are so grateful to have friends that invite us on such great adventures.

How fun. That is one thing I miss about Cottonwood is being close to mountains. It is a nice way to escape, Lucky you!
That looks like fun. Kids and the woods with a creek is bound to be great! The pictures of Taylor and Eli playing the guitar are so cute! It is so nice to capture the soft side of dads!
